New Moon Poetry

on a summer afternoon nap
with a sunburn on my nose
and my belly button uncovered.

for an infinite amount of time,
when the marbles were
universes in miniature,
and you told me that
when you love someone,
sleepover or oversleep
is quite the same.

My relationship with you is like my relationship with my wisdom tooth:
I don't know if it's growing out or growing old.
04
I wrote seventeen poems about my wisdom tooth,
zero about my ex.

When the daylights
and the streetlights
fuse into one beam,
they are probably right.

Let's go to Walden Lake,
where the owls sang about how they were never born.

Did you know that
if you flip your goldfish's bowl, you'll have a snow globe?
